As part of this course it is a good idea to have an idea of how eCommerece affects the development of web sites, including models of eCommerce, payment systems, security and the hardware and software that is required.

As part of the course you will be required to write a short article on eCommerce. Some of the possible choices of topic are given in the extended story, along with resources that may help you when writing the article.

The following is a list of subjects that will be offered to you for research and writing of an article.

  11. Legal and Ethical issues in eCommerce
  12. eCommerce future trends
  13. Using PayPal with PHP to create an electronic commerce web site – principles, workflow and practice – a tutorial using PHP and ADOdb
  14. Using credit cards with PHP to create an electronic web site – principles, workflow and practice – a tutorial using PHP and ADOdb

Each reference may have a “tag” next to it to identify locations. They are: ML for Midland Library, TL Thornlie, BL Balga and CL Carlisle. Books from other campuses will need to be reserved at the Midland campus and collected from there, unless you make a journey to the relevant location.

Books that belong to Mr Gould are tagged AG and may not be available in any of the libraries unless otherwise indicated.

Remember that books do not always come from the IT or Computing section but may come from the Business and Marketing areas of the library.
